DEPRESSION, ANXIETY AND STRESS

After watching two messages by Pastor Joseph Prince . I have come to realise that there are many people who are suffering from depression and its because of the devil.

I know most times people dont want to hear about God when they feeling so down and in the dark but in my exprience its what we all need. That moment when you feel so alone and like there is no one on this earth wo would understand what your going through, God does. He watched as His only son got beaten, accused and cursed at.

To Jesus in that moment he felt like His heavenly Father had adandoned Him, turned His back on him. Just like some people may feel right now, you eel like the world is against you. You feel as though there is no hope. That is just the devil trying his hardest to make you believe in a lie which is not true. Sadly most times we take that very lie as truth and it just destorys us.

The devil has made people believe that everything bad that happens to them and around them is their fault. This is such a big lie and is so far from the truth. The devil does not want people to rely and reach out to God in their moments of need. He wants people to remain stuck and to try fix everything on their own, and that is why things never change and remain the same.

It's not easy to not look at the things that happen to us and around and not get emotional. That is because our emotions are easier to understand and to relate to. But this is the problem, our emotions change everyday based on how we interpret what happens around us and to us.

Depression is something that almost everyone has exprienced. Some is greater than others but we all understand the feeling and the emotional confusion that comes with it. For some its very difficult to get out of that depressive state and its because they become so focused on their works and how they can fix it, forgetting that God wants to help them, because He knows that people cannot do it on their own.

Most times people may feel like God hasn't really been there for them anyway, so they feel no reason to depend on Him. But if you where to take a minute and think back on all the achievements and successes. You would see that God has always been with you and was guiding you through those victories. Now you may be wondering if that is the case then why has all these bad things started following you around.

The answer is simple, when one thing went wrong you didn't turn to God to seek an answer, instead you probably complained about what went wrong amd focused on your one failure. But doing this you turned away from God by not setting your focus on Him.

Choosing to focus on God or even on positive things may not be easy especially when things don't look like they are changing much. Take notice of the small changes and the bigger changes have patience because God is dealing with them and is everything is working out for you. A life without God is very dark, confusing and soul crushing.

For some this is the exact definition of depression. You feel as though every action you make is cursed to begin with and that its a never ending cycle. But the truth is there is an end to that cycle, there is an answer and that answer i it's found in Jesus. However you need to make the choice to come to Him on your. He will never force you to come to Him, you must make the decision to accept Him into your heart.

Then that dark cloud will dissapear, that gapping hole in your heart that has never been filled will finally be made whole. The sun will shine again and you will not feel the need to hide your pain behind a mask because He you know that there is someone who knows what you are going through and He is there for you always. Just call on Him.
