I am seeing that many of my fellow mental health bloggers have taken up a number of mental health and mental illness challenge, as mental health awareness is been highlighted and has taken centre stage since the start of this new month.
Living with mental illness is by far the toughest thing for one person; been at constant war within the mind is not an easy task and the physical damage it does is not that great either, and by that I mean, we have to exercise, yoga, get fit, some of us have never even done stretches in our lives, much more yoga, my entire bones and joints hurts. There are the times, when you want to head your head against a wall and crack it open for the pain to end, so meditation and deep breathing is key to that, plus a well balance diet.
Back to the matter at hand - there are thirty-one (31) days in the month of May, and today is already day four, I decided to cut back on the thirty (30) days mental illness awareness challenge and instead, make it a twenty (20) days challenge, which I have structured in a way that everyone can do.
My Twenty (20) Days Mental Illness Awareness Challenge
Day 1: What are your mental illnesses?
Day 2: How do you feel about your diagnosis?
Day 3: What do you think about your diagnosis in general?
Day 4: What treatment or coping skills are most effective for you?
Day 5: What are the pro’s and con’s of having a mental illness or specific illness?
Day 6: Do you believe nature, nurture or something else has an impact on mental health?
Day 7: Do you have a family history of mental illness or mental health issues?
Day 8: Do you think there are any triggers or patterns to how your illness affects you?
Day 9: What age were you diagnosis at? At what age do you think your symptoms began?
Day 10: What are some of the important events in your life that may have affected your mental illness for the worse or the better?
